Questions from Young Professionals about Education and Assessment answered. Personal Development is key to succeed in your Career Goals.

Young Professionals asked ImpactYourCareer for Advice.
Question 1.
How do I show my leadership skills on an assessment day?
“On an assessment day, inhouse day or company event, it is important that you are truly present. This means that you are being proactive and connecting with people. Leadership does not mean that you always have to take the lead, but it does mean that you are visible and contribute to the goals set in the day. The key is your preparation. You can prepare yourself by drafting a list with questions, topics, people who you would like to meet etc. It is also possible to record yourself on camera while giving a presentation. Or practice different work situations with someone you know well. With your own goals in mind, it will be easier for you to make this day a success and to find out if the company also fits
your personality, strengths and ambitions.”
Question 2.
What’s the best way to get better at game-based assessments?
“There are a lot of game-based assessments with all different features and required skills. Practising and finding activities to strengthen the skills you need, can help you improve. Google ‘prepare assessments’ or visit websites like: https://www.assessment-training.com/ to find more information.”
